Paul is passionate about empowering families and friends who has experienced a loved one suffer an acquired brain injury (ABI). Paul wants families, friends and the person with an ABI to have knowledge and hope, to advocate for effective and appropriate rehabilitation services and allied health support, early on in their journey. 

 

Paul's motivational talks advocate for health workers to be more client centered and also promote adequate and necessary health services early on. He continues to share his experience to support education and development of allied health students and new graduates in rehabilitation.

20 minute talk & 10 minute question time

Paul will give an inpiring 20 minute talk about his lived experience as a person living with an ABI. He will describe how his accident occurred, feelings of anxiety, his recovery journey, finding hope, and transitioning from community housing to supported indepedent living.  

After his presentation, he will open the floor to audience members and answer questions. Paul is eager to engage in thoughtful discussions about his rehabilitation journey. 

Motivational talk to health professionals and students

Paul is committed to advocating for health professionals and care staff to adopt client-centred and strengths-based approaches early on, when supporting the rehabilitation of individuals with ABI. 

During his motivational talk, he highlights the importance of having a strong support network and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, in his personal recovery journey. 

Lived experience panel presentation

This motivational service aims to help people develop resilience and foster hope for personal growth. Paul is open to present alongside a panel of other speakers with lived experience of ABI. Through personal story sharing and guided discussions, Paul aspires to help shape a positive mindset.

Sessions with family or friends

Paul is eager to help support people who have suffered an ABI and their family and friends. He has personally experienced anxiety and stress related to his ABI and would like to engage in practical conversations which may assist others to overcome challenges and find hope. He also understands the complexities of navigating Australia’s health system and would like to offer his own personal insights.

Tailored motivational presenting

Paul offers tailored motivational presentations to suit the needs of different organisations and audiences. This may include resilience workshops, educational institutions, community events, and webinars directed to people with ABI, their family, friends, and professional supports.
